Abby and Braeden Elenko- wedding

Abby and Braeden met in Schladming, Austria, 6,000 miles from home in the Fall 2017 season of Tauernhof Bible School. They bonded on a missions trip to Romania where they saw each other shine in their natural talent for leadership & service, and continued to grow closer over the course of the semester. They were both smitten with each other & began a long distance relationship after the school was over, between Calgary and Victoria. 8 months later Abby moved to Calgary from Victoria to attend the University of Calgary, and that Christmas, Braeden popped the question at the Butchart Gardens in Victoria. Could their relationship be any more romantic?

Abby and Braeden lucked out with a gorgeous day in the midst of a rainy summer with intermittent clouds for shade for their guests. They got married at Arbutus Ridge Golf Course on Vancouver Island with stunning ocean and mountain views, and took bride and groom portraits a little bit off location- just a golf cart drive away at a lookout onto the water.

Abby did her own makeup, her hair was done at Twist hair salon and florals by Jennings Florists. Desserts by Dolhouse Creations and Origins Bakery.

They had a beautiful ceremony filled with love, prayers, a few tears and laughter! As Abby walked down to the ceremony space, Braeden held his breath as he caught a glimpse of his bride crossing a bridge in the garden. When it came time for the kiss, he couldn’t hold in his excitement and flashed a huge grin to his friends and family. Then they giddily walked down the isle, “The Breakfast Club” fist pumps and all.

They provided nearly 1.5 hours for formal photographs which was the perfect amount to cover family formals, off and on site bride and groom portraits and bridal party formals (and not so formals, LOL!).

Their wedding coverage finished with the grand entrance to the reception, a few embarassing stories from friends and family in place of the clinking of glasses to get the newlyweds to kiss and a delicious dinner catered by the venue.
